How to get certified

The Clinical Medical Assistant Certification course can theoretically be completed within 2-3 months if you have some prior knowledge. However, for most people, it typically takes between 4 to 8 months to work through the material and gain the confidence needed to apply it in a professional environment.

Upon completion, you will pass the initial exam with TerraMD, and our school will certify you as a Clinical Medical Assistant. While TerraMD College is an excellent institution, this certification alone might not always be sufficient for potential employers. Therefore, TerraMD College of Allied Health Sciences is an approved test site with the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). The AMCA certification is recognized nationwide and internationally. AMCA charges currently $139 to sit for the certification. If you have not received a scholarship from us, TerraMD will cover the cost to sit for the AMCA exam.

After receiving your TerraMD diploma (certification), you will be automatically eligible to sit for the AMCA exam and our proctors will guide you through the process. The aim of this course is to ensure you are well-prepared to achieve a passing or better grade on the AMCA exam.
